Position Overview:
As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our clients' tax compliance and planning needs.
You will work closely with clients to identify opportunities for tax optimization while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax preparation, planning, and research, as well as a strong understanding of complex tax issues.
Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of clients and serve as their primary point of contact for tax-related matters.
Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
Conduct tax research and analysis to support tax planning initiatives and identify tax-saving opportunities.
Assist clients with tax compliance, including responding to inquiries from tax authorities and representing clients in audits.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff members to support their professional development.
Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations and communicate relevant updates to clients and colleagues.
Collaborate with other members of the firm to deliver integrated tax solutions and exceptional client service.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and provide proactive tax advice.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and planning.
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
Experience with tax research tools and software (e.g., CCH, RIA Checkpoint).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
