    A leading manufacturer specializing in plastic and polymer injection molding solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Tooling Repair Technician to join their team, located in Northeast Maryland.

    As a Tooling Repair Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our injection mold tooling. You will be responsible for the repair, maintenance, and modification of molds to meet production requirements and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency in the use of manual machines and measurement tools, and expertise in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM).

    Responsibilities:

    Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications on injection mold tooling to ensure functionality and longevity.
    - Diagnose tooling issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop effective repair solutions.
    - Utilize manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses to fabricate and repair mold components with precision.
    - Operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to shape and finish hardened steel components with intricate detail.
    - Conduct thorough inspections and measurements using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
    - Collaborate with engineering and production teams to understand tooling requirements and implement necessary repairs or modifications.
    - Document all maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications accurately and maintain detailed records for reference.
    - Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while performing repair and maintenance tasks.
    - Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and reliability of tooling processes.

    Qualifications:

    High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or relevant vocational training preferred.
    - Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Tooling Repair Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the plastic injection molding industry.
    - Proficiency in operating manual machines including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.
    - Demonstrated expertise in Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) techniques and operations
    - Strong understanding of mold construction, tooling principles, required, and injection molding processes, preferred.
    - Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
    - Proficient in the use of measurement tools and equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and optical comparators.
