    Duties: Interact with the center/hospital medical staff and specialists to ensure appropriate and timely patient care, patient transfers, and patient referrals. Manage patients through the continuum of hospital care. Order treatments, tests, and consult with specialty physicians where appropriate. Direct, coordinate, or supervise the patient care activities of nursing and support staff. Write patient discharge summaries to summarize hospital stay. The role works exclusively in an inpatient setting, including acute care settings and the emergency room. The hospitalist makes decisions about whether to admit a patient to a hospital for inpatient care. The role manages care throughout a patient's hospitalized stay, making referrals as necessary to specialists and coordinating with a patient's primary care provider, as necessary. The Hospitalist is an internal medicine position that provides general internal medicine and treatment to hospitalized adults. The Hospitalist makes referrals to specialists, as needed, and works as part of a comprehensive in-patient treatment team. Multiple Openings. Required Qualifications:
    • Medical degree (MD)
    • Oregon State medical license
    • Completion of Internal or Family Medicine residency program
