    Summary: Prepares drinks for guests and servers in Martorano's Prime.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Sets the bar for service, properly detailing all table accompaniments.
    • Assist host in seating guest at beginning of shift and as needed.
    • Acknowledging and greeting guests by name when possible, and develops a rapport with guests.
    • Takes guest orders completely and accurately, making suggestions, using suggestive selling techniques to create a balanced meal.
    • Describes dinner features as needed, including menu changes and daily additions.
    • Is knowledgeable and able to respond to all guest inquiries in an accurate and professional manner.
    • Accurately enters orders into the point of sale.
    • Previous to each course ensures that appropriate service items are on the table and that they are clean.
    • Ensures that bar is properly maintained at all times, and is consistently aware of progress of tables.
    • Responsible for delivering food and beverages to correct table and guest at appropriate time in the correct manner.
    • Including serving wine and champagne in the appropriate manner.
    • Clears plates, crumbs bar with a napkin after clearing all plates.
    • Offers dessert and espresso after dinner cordials and ensures proper service.
    • Follows through on special requests.
    • Responsible for all aspects of the dining experience and must communicate well with back waiter, kitchen, hosts, and management.
    • Presents check and handles payment in a timely fashion that is appropriate for each meal period.
    • Bids guest farewell.
    • Responsible for ensuring bar stations are completely stocked prior to and at the end of the night.
    • Provides prompt, courteous service to all guests and team members while maintaining a friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
    • Provides quality service to both internal and external guests, specifically maintaining established quality standards for timely food and beverage.
    • Follows Martorano's standards of hospitality by making eye contact with every guest, smiling and offering a warm and friendly greeting with the proper verbiage: "Good morning, afternoon, or evening, thank you, ma'am or sir, may I?"Maintain a safe and sanitary workplace.
    • One minute to greet and acknowledge the guest, three minutes to provide their needs or wants, and checks back as appropriate with eye contact or words.
    • Helps other team members when needed.
    • Performs necessary cleaning and organizing, as needed including adhering to proper sanitation procedures.
    • Follows proper procedure for comp process.Checks out with management before going home.
    • Maintains Martorano's uniform in good condition and reports to work in authorized uniform as mandated by Martorano's.
    • This includes maintaining a clean and well-groomed appearance in compliance with Martorano's dress code standards.
    • Performs related work as requested
    • All other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
    • 2 years' experience in a bar, lounge, or full service restaurant
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to perform basic math.
    • Being able to effectively maintain working relationships with staff and other departments.
    • Full knowledge and understanding of Martorano's rules, policies and procedures.
    • Must possess the disposition to have fun at work and display that spirit to our guests.
    • Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
    • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
    Physical and Mental Demands:
    • Regularly required to see, talk or hear; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
    • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
    • Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor under frequently fast paced work conditions.
