Mercy Hospital South Neuro Step Down (NSD) is a unit dedicated to the care of neuro -surgical and neuro medicine patients requiring frequent assessment and specialized neuro care.

It is a 10-bed unit with visualization of each patient room. RN ratio is 3-4 pts/RN with tech support.

Respiratory conditions requiring ventilatory support.

Strong collaboration with care management, RT, PT, OT, ST, pharmacy

• An opportunity to gain skill and knowledge in the care of the neuro patient.

Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program

Licensure:

Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
