- Oversee the development and implementation of strategic plans for the Division.
- Establish and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Promote research and scholarship in geriatric medicine.
- Recruit and retain outstanding faculty.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical partners.
- Ensure the regional and national visibility of the Division's patient care, education research, other scholarly/academic activities, and community outreach programs.
- Collaborate with other Divisions, Departments and area hospitals to promote interdisciplinary care and foster growth of the Division.

At the Department of Internal Medicine, Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS), we are committed to providing exceptional care and support to patients requiring geriatric and palliative care services. The Division Chief of Geriatrics will have the unique opportunity to shape the future and make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
