    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Emergency Medicine team in a Midwest college community situated along the banks of the Mississippi River.

    Job Description:

    • This is a 0.5 FTE (40 hours per pay period), employed position that will join an established team of Physicians, Physician Assistants, nurses and office staff.
    • The successful candidate will receive a competitive hourly compensation and benefits package including paid malpractice with tail coverage, CME and dues/license, moving expenses, health/life/dental insurance, retirement programs and more.
    • The Physician Assistant will be responsible for the acute care of ER patients, managing 16,000 visits annually in a Level IV trauma facility.
    • Shifts will be 12 hours long, from 10:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m., every third weekend.
    • The Physician Assistant will participate in process improvement activities and impact care delivery by utilizing technology such as Electronic Medical Record, CPOE, patient tracking, bedside US, Dragon.
    • The team is progressive, committed to quality evidence-based care, exceptional patient satisfaction, and integrated technology.

    Requirements:

    • The ideal candidate must have completed a Physician's Assistant training program accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants or equivalent.
    • An active Minnesota physician's assistant license must be maintained.
    • Certification by the NCCPA must be current.
    • Certification in ACLS is required, which can be obtained within 6 months of hire.
