    SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION:

    • This position must maintain sufficient training progress including classroom training, job
    specific training, and inter-active training modules on Piping, and valves.


    • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent, good reading and writing skills, some
    computer knowledge. Physically be able to climb ladders, operate pumps, valves, gauges,
    and Lift 50 lbs. Must have completed basic operating training on piping, valves, pumps,
    tanks & vessels, and lubrication.


    • This position must become knowledgeable about pumping procedures, lines, pumps, and
    valves, including their locations and functions, all electrical switches and controls, their
    locations and functions, all steam, water, gas and air lines, all emergency cut off switches,
    their locations and functions.


    • Responsible for loading and unloading operations, shipping and receiving feedstock and
    products, manifesting paperwork procedures, truck weighing.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS
    Must have good communication skills; Must Speak Read and Write English (Spanish a plus) Ability to
    read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively
    present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other
    employees of the organization.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
    fractions, and decimals.

    REASONING ABILITY
    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral
    instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS
    Physically be able to operate pumps, valves, gauges, and Lift 50 lbs. The physical demands described
    here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential
    functions of this job.
    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; squat,
    stoop, kneel, climb or balance use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The
    employee is occasionally required to crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear move quickly in some
    occasions. Physically be able to operate pumps, valves, gauges, and lift 50 pounds. The employee must
    frequently lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Climb
    up stairs/ladders and descend stairs/ladders to 70feet continuously throughout the work shift. Specific
    vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,

    While performing the duty of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid
    conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or
    caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; and extreme heat. The noise level in the
    work environment is usually loud.

    Hearing:
    Ability to hear detailed telephone and two way radio instructions in the presence of
    background noise are required.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Education:
    High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
    Experience: 500hrs of experience as Pumper/Loader in this position (or equivalent). Some computer
    knowledge.
    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS, TRAININGS
    40-hour HAZMAT Training with 8-hour annual refresher training.

    discrepancies to the Shift Supervisor or Operations Manager as they arise.
