    About the Role:
    • Job Summary
    • NGMC Gainesville Cardiac Observation Unit (GSV COU)
    • The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) facilitates nursing care, problem-solving, and communication within the unit under supervision.
    • Responsible for patient safety, care coordination, staff management, and operational efficiency.
    • Provides expert patient care and supports professional practice environment.
    • Serves as a succession plan for the Director role.
    • Assists in nursing strategic initiatives and professional governance.


    Minimum Job Qualifications:
    • Licensed as RN in Georgia
    • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
    • Three years of RN nursing experience in acute care


    Preferred Job Qualifications:
    • Master's Degree within five years of hire
    • Charge Nurse or supervisory experience
    • Professional organization membership within three months of hire


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    • Meets competency requirements (BLS, ACLS, PALS)
    • Strong communication, critical thinking, and leadership skills
    • Customer service and supervision abilities
    • Adaptable to fast-paced clinical environment
    • Computer proficiency


    Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:
    • Coordinates patient care team activities
    • Supports customer-centric service program
    • Assesses, coaches, and evaluates staff
    • Interacts with physicians and facilitates communication
    • Manages work assignments and patient flow
    • Ensures compliance with policies and quality standards


    Physical Demands:
    • Weight lifted up to 50 lbs, vision moderate, standing/walking frequently
    • Requires reading, writing, reasoning, and other tasks
