Artemis-1 and DART. These missions proved our capability from LEO to deep space while simultaneously showcasing our high reliability. This posting is for the U.S. facility located on the Space Coast in Brevard County Florida.
DIUTY & RESPONSIBILITY
As Systems Engineer you will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for coordinating and reviewing design, development, and testing activities for space applications.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to work independently and autonomously with the support of an experienced multi-functional team from Argotec's headquarters.
Specific Duties Include:
Establishing our digital, model-based systems engineering environment
Proposal support
Assessing system performance, designing trades, and evaluating system effectiveness
Development and management of program specifications
Management of technical documents (Design Description, ICD, Test Procedures, Technical Specifications etc.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Team player and a "Do what it takes" attitude
Bachelor of Science degree in Science, Engineering, or other related STEM discipline and typically 14 or more years of Engineering or relevant experience (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of education)
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency
Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Strong background in any of the following areas
Demonstrated knowledge of Systems Engineering principles and practices
Progressive experience leading multi-disciplinary design and development teams
Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
Great problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and oral communication in English.
US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Background in Model-Based Systems Engineering
Experience with requirements management and system modeling tools
Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
Background in the Space or Defense
Progressive experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high-impact trade studies
Ability to establish and track Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
PHYSICAL/MENTAL/EMOTIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps
Frequently repeat the same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity
Occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 lbs.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Rarely exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials
Rarely exposed to loud noises
