    Accountant/Analyst

    The Accountant/Analyst is responsible for providing financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic insights to support key decision-making processes within the organization. A deep understanding of financial principles and strong analytical skills are critical to drive financial performance and optimize resource allocation.

    How You'll Contribute:

    • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data, including revenue, expenses, and operational performance to identify trends, variances, and key drivers of business performance.
    • Implement best practices in financial analysis, reporting, and forecasting to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for federal, state, and local laws.
    • Perform reconciliations, month end close, year-end close process, and maintain proper journal entries.
    • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for meetings and for external shareholders.
    • Communicate financial insights and recommendations in a clear and concise manner, translate data to actionable deliverables.
    • Lead annual budgeting processes, liquidity planning, and cash flow analysis to deliver on financial targets.
    • Interact with banks on corporate services, and other matters.
    • Work jointly with Headquarters to implement policies and build relationships to ensure achievement of optimal tariff and commercial terms.
    • Manage credit risks in accordance with the company's and Ritter Sport group's policies; interact with insurance companies.
    • Ensure set up of the Company's accounting policy, tax policy, and determination of tax planning opportunities.
    • Cash management and daily planning with the aim of achieving a positive local interest result
    • Main contact person for all treasury-related IT systems, such as SAP Cash Management, SAP Bank Account Management
    • Support year end audit.
    • Other duties as assigned, including special projects.

    About YOU:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field preferred.
    • CPA certification preferred.
    • Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in a finance or accounting role.
    • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience preferred.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency with financial software.
    • Experience with ERP implementation.
    • Willingness to work onsite in our Chicago office.
