    job summary:


    A Manufacturing Engineer is needed for a world leader in medical devices that seeks to offer innovative solutions in neurosurgery, and reconstructive and general surgery in the Plainsboro, NJ area.

    This position involves overseeing and enhancing the visual inspection process within a manufacturing setting, utilizing engineering expertise to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, optimize efficiency, conduct root cause analyses.

    responsibilities:
    Assist in overhauling the process related to visual inspection from an engineering perspective.

    Use scientific methods and statistical tools for investigations, root cause analyses, and impact assessments.

    Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for visual inspection equipment/process.

    Ensure compliance with FDA, cGMP, ISO, and OSHA requirements for the Visual Inspection Program.

    Complete projects to evaluate, analyze, and improve existing processes and support development of new processes.

    Generate documentation, drawings, and specifications in compliance with company procedures and statutory requirements.

    Coordinate project team efforts, including development of manufacturing process requirements and specifications.



    Skills:

    Familiarity with Quality System Regulation (QSR), Design Control, Process Validation, ISO, and Regulatory guidelines.

    Experience with Statistical Process Control tools and general chemistry/material expertise.

    strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

    Experience in conducting manual visual inspection and training others.

    Desired

    Skills:

    Experience qualifying a manual visual inspection process and using/developing qualification kits.


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Biomedical).

    3+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in the medical device industry.
