    Electrical Special Projects Leader

    Major Goal:

    The Special Projects Leader is responsible for overall development, growth, and profitability of a specific market segment within which they have extensive knowledge and experience.


    Job Overview:

    The Special Projects Leader is responsible for developing and leading a team of Project Managers, Estimators, Superintendents and Field Crews in a focused market segment where they can provide excellence in safety, service and quality that results in sustained growth and profitability for the group.

    The Group Leader must have extensive knowledge, experience and success within the market segment and be willing and able to coach and mentor the group, ensuring success at all levels.

    This position requires the successful candidate to possess strong organizational, negotiation, financial, and communication skills.


    Responsibilities:

    Provide leadership and direction for SPG team

    Development and growth of existing and new GC relationships

    Learn, implement and promote Prism culture and processes

    Estimating and project management

    Ensure accuracy of all estimates / proposals

    Develop strong relationships with all vendors / suppliers

    Ensure that all projects are properly managed to meet or beat estimated costs

    Ensure that monthly project CTC forecasts are accurate

    Manage billing process to ensure consistent "front loaded billing" on all projects

    Assist with AR collection process as needed to ensure timely payment

    Generate year over year revenue and margin growth

    Teaching and training of staff to ensure a culture of continued professional growth

    Hold regular scheduled meetings with key staff

    Promote teamwork and mentor to provide growth opportunities within SPG team

    Hire and develop adequate field crews to perform work as needed

    Perform / facilitate annual reviews for SPG team

    Mentor and train up and coming employees and assist them in reaching their goals and career objectives

    Facilitate team building events to strengthen internal relationships

    Keep morale high through regular recognition and rewards for high performance

    Work closely with local and corporate staff to ensure a strong team oriented environment exists

    Ensure that the company's interest is protected at all times

    Always be a servant leader and lead by example, setting the highest standards for all to follow


    Requirements:

    Minimum 7 Years experience Special Projects / Construction role such as Project Management, Operations Manager, etc

    Proven people, process, and performance leadership and management skills

    Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billing processes

    Strong time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

    Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Strong budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling skills

    Ability to 'manage by the numbers' through productivity and accounting reports
