- Attends work regularly and may work varying schedules
- Provides quality rehabilitation programming to promote community reintegration
- Delivers instruction on self-care, independent living, and character building
- Observes and documents patient behavior and participation levels
- Keeps updated on the needs of patients and implements appropriate therapeutic activities
- Assists in training other Rehabilitation Therapy Technicians
- Transports patients using state vehicles safely and efficiently
- Attends meetings, completes special projects, and participates in department activities
- Maintains equipment and supplies as needed
- Develops new curriculum and obtains approval for patient programming
- Documents updates for treatment planning and collaborates with the treatment team
- Ensures cleanliness and safety of therapeutic facilities
- Understanding of rehabilitation methods and techniques, and mental health conditions
- Familiarity with regulations, policies, and procedures
- Proficiency in computer hardware and software use
- Skills in utilizing therapeutic service tools and materials
- Capability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
