Summary
Established CPA firm seeking an individual with an accounting degree or equivalent experience to work with small business clients. Must be able to utilize accounting and tax software to convert client financial data into financial statements and tax returns. This position requires understanding of basic bookkeeping and payroll tax law. This position does offer the opportunity to advance to a salaried position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with GAAP principles.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
- Utilize accounting software, including QuickBooks, for financial reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, interpreting data for management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial concepts
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks
- Experience with double-entry bookkeeping and financial statement preparation
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
- Ability to interpret and write financial reports
- Experience in corporate or non-profit accounting is a plus
Pay: $ $25.00 per hour
