    As a Software Engineer at Gelber Securities, LLC, you will work directly with a successful trading desk that trades derivatives listed on the U.S. markets. You will work side by side with experienced traders, quants, and other talented engineers to design, develop, and support systems and applications used by both human and algorithmic traders, having a direct and meaningful impact on PnL.     This position can either sit in our Chicago Headquarters office or remote within the United States.

    What you'll do:

    • Communicate with engineers, traders, and quants to architect, design, develop, deploy, and support our proprietary trading applications and tools
    • Have a significant impact in development for our existing infrastructure in C#, as well as adding new features and applications for our human and algorithmic traders
    • Become an expert in the entire trading pipeline and the software and technology that it is built upon, including the back end, front end, and everything in between
    • Provide real time support and bug fixes for live trading applications

    What you'll need:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
    • 0-3 years of work experience working in C#, Java, Python, or C++
    • Strong understanding of and experience with an Object Oriented Programming language
    • Excellent communication skills specifically when it comes to understanding requirements and translating that into code and fixing bugs
    • Self-motivation and ability to work with others in a remote environment
    • Understanding of the financial markets is not required, but preferred and must have a strong interest
    • Working knowledge of Options, Volatility, and SQL not required but is a plus

    The annual base salary range is $100-150,000, plus discretionary bonus eligibility. Offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skillset.
