Primary Function: Supervises compensation activities, processes, and programs; conducts position classification reviews; coordinates the collection, maintenance, and analysis of data related to compensation and retention programs.

Qualifications:
Education/Certification Required: Must hold or be eligible for a Georgia Level-5 certificate or higher in Educational Leadership
Experience: Minimum of three (3) years administration experience
Experience with data collection and analysis
Experience related to employee compensation or recruitment and retention preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:
Monitors job descriptions and analyzes changes; provides recommendations on position classification to ensure consistent language by position title; updates job descriptions on PCSD website.
Assist in the development and communications of compensation programs; provides guidance on compensation policies and procedures.
Manages compensation activities, processes, and programs; coordinates internal processes with the Payroll Department and Technology to ensure cohesive procedures are used.
Directs comprehensive compensation studies, analyzes data, and presents recommendations.
Advises, consults, and makes recommendations on compensation processes and activities to employees, managers, and administrators.
Conducts salary surveys; develops recommendations applicable to compensation as appropriate.
Develops, communicates, and interprets compensation data.
Ascertains information from internal and external sources; responds to requests from appropriate outside agencies and other school districts regarding compensation initiatives.
Plan for recruitment efforts based on data and research.
Recommend retention strategies based on data and research.
Identify hard to fill positions and make recommendations for effective recruitment and retention.
Review and establish benchmarks for job promotions and position upgrades.
Stay abreast of vacancy rates.
Knowledge of incentive impacts and make recommendations for adjustments and changes.
Assists with employee investigations, as needed.
Work with Teaching and Learning to establish Teaching as a Profession pathways in all high schools.
Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective relationships with others
Learns applicable sections of the State Education Code and other applicable laws
Learns District organization, operations, policies, and objectives
Adheres to legal statutes, organizational rules and community standards
Maintains successful working relationships with co-workers
Manifests emotional stability and maturity in all phases of job performance
Treats confidential information and sensitive situations with discretion and avoids gossip
Presents a professional image when representing Paulding County Schools through word, action and dress
