Job summary
The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning all of the resident apartments public areas and work areas within guidelines policies and procedures of the community.Clean all resident apartments common areas offices of the property to assure the building is clean at all times includes but is not limited to furnishings fixtures ledges room heating/cooling units bathroom fixtures – bathtubs toilets showers sinks windows/mirrors blinds shutters etc in resident apartments; public bathroom areas entrance/exit ways recreational areas; floors to include sweeping dusting damp/wet mopping stripping waxing buffing disinfecting etc carpets to include vacuuming shampooing deodorizing disinfecting walls ceilings by washing wiping dusting spot cleaning disinfecting deodorizing dirt dust grease film etc from surfaces using proper cleaning disinfectant solutions hallways stairways elevators discard waste/trash into proper containers replace trash receptacle liners etc ensure that appropriate caution/safety signs are properly set up posted prior performing duties that could cause slips/falls any other safety risks taken down when job completed risk removed report health safety sanitation concerns supervisor including reporting apartment repairs conditions need attention other departments follow schedules closely practical monitor remove trash waste inside community designated cans/dumps throughout shift keep work attractive free hazardous objects protruding mop/broom handles unnecessary equipment putting away finished use standard equipment consistent position must mobile execute physical demands housekeeping including standing periods time bending kneeling stooping pushing pulling repetitive motion lift equipment products pounds frequent carrying pushing pulling supplies carts
