    The Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences at the University of South Dakota's Sanford School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level.

    We are seeking an individual working in any area of the biomedical sciences, broadly defined.

    The Division has current strengths in Cancer Biology, Cardiovascular Science, Microbiology/Immunology, Neuroscience, and Protein Quality Control and we welcome applications from investigators in these general fields as well as other related disciplines.

    Applicants should have a Ph.
    D. or M.D./Ph.
    D. and at least two years of post-doctoral experience.

    We seek an energetic and collaborative scientist who is committed to working with the faculty in the Division of Basic Biomedical Sciences () to further its research, education and service mission.

    Applicants should demonstrate strong potential for developing an innovative, translational research program that has or is likely to attract significant extramural funding.

    In addition, the applicant should demonstrate a commitment to mentoring and teaching graduate, health sciences, and/or medical students.

    Excellent start-up funds, state-funded salary commensurate with experience, and state-of-the-art research facilities in the Lee Medical Science Building will be provided.
