Job Summary
The Lead Steward is a key member of the culinary team responsible for leading the Stewarding teams to ensure maximum labor efficiency, safe working conditions, and highest sanitation standards.
The position oversees daily operations of stewarding including dish room operations, night cleaning trash disposal, loading dock maintenance employee cafeteria main kitchen all restaurant outlets banquet spaces and banquet plating monitor control inflow ordered materials maintain proper inventory levels ensure compliance with food beverage policies health safety regulations sanitation standards recruit interview hire train manage stewarding staff conduct pre-shifts hold department meetings manage loss prevention policies reduce accidents control costs conduct monthly quarterly inventories kitchen supplies china glassware silverware cleaning compounds ensure compliance health department standards update MSDS Health Code compliancy binders train employees food handling sanitation procedures equipment handling chemical usage supervise maintain sanitation standards kitchen employee cafeteria storage areas hallways dock conduct weekly monthly inspectors dishwashing machines chemical levels usage dish areas other duties assigned.
