    Description
    Responsibilities

    physical and technical design of electric utility substations
    equipment sizing
    civil foundation analysis as well as grading design
    major equipment specification
    manufacturer drawing approval
    development of material lists
    project administration
    project coordination

    The candidate must work closely with clients, requiring strong communication skills.

    He or she must also be able to develop contract documents for construction, as well as material and equipment contracts.

    Some travel to and from clients, primarily within our 4-state area, as well as the project sites for inspections, will be required from time to time.

    Requirements

    B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
    PE License in Missouri, or the ability to obtain one within six months of employment.

    Desired Skills


    Ability to work with other engineers and technicians to develop a set of drawings and specifications for the construction of substation facilities.

    EHV design or Autodesk Inventor experience.
