    Aegis is partnering with a company looking for a EHS manager to come join their team

    Open due to : This person is moving locations:

    Pay: 90k-100K with 10% bonus

    Hours: 8a-5p.. we are flexible.

    Degree: HIGHLY preferred

    Industry: Plastics would be HUGE but any manufacturing is fine.

    • Acts as the liaison during external safety, fire and environmental audits, including OSHA inspections.
    • Maintains the OSHA 300 log and posts, annually, as required.
    • Coordinates onsite efforts with W/C carrier and Human Resources Manager.
    • Develops annual safety budget. Monitors spending to meet or exceed spending goals.
    • Works closely with the respective Regional Safety Manager and Corporate Safety Manager.
    • Responsible for internal (employees) and external (contractors, visitors, etc.) safety training. Identifies training requirements using regulatory guidelines and needs assessments. Designs, develops, and implements training in-house or identifies and contracts with external training resources. May present training, prepare designee(s) for presentation or use external resources.
    • Create the site OHSE strategy, based on feedback from corporate and identified site needs. Work with management team to assign responsibility for implementation of the site OHSE strategy.
    • Able to analyze incident reports, audit findings, employee reports to determine trends and focus areas for the site.
    • Tracks all plant training to ensure requirements are met. Maintains plant training documentation files. Prepares monthly training reports of employee participation.
    • Works with the Human Resources Manager to assist management team in the development and maintenance of job training programs that ensure the transfer of job knowledge and safe working practices.
    • Works with the site management team, front line supervisors, operators, and sister plants to implement improvements and best practices.
    • Active presence in the plant to help mentor, coach, and audit safe behaviors in the workplace.
