- Develop and implement security architectures for Azure cloud environments, including network security, identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and data protection strategies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, CIS) and Azure-specific security best practices.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address security vulnerabilities and gaps.
- Design and implement IAM solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and privileged identity management (PIM) to enforce least privilege access principles.
- Implement encryption mechanisms for data at rest and in transit using Azure Key Vault, Azure Disk Encryption, and Azure Information Protection.
- Design and enforce data loss prevention (DLP) policies to prevent unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information.
- Configure and manage Azure network security features such as Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Azure DDoS Protection to safeguard against network-based threats and attacks.
- Deploy and configure Azure Security Center, Azure Monitor, and Azure Sentinel to monitor for security incidents, analyze security logs, and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.
- Develop scripts and automation workflows using Azure DevOps, PowerShell, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates to automate security configurations, deployments, and incident response processes.
- Collaborate with development, operations, and compliance teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Document security designs, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
- Certifications such as Azure Security Engineer Associate, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) preferred.
- Strong understanding of Azure services and architecture, including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage.
- Proficiency in security technologies and concepts such as encryption, IAM, network security, and security monitoring.
- Experience with security compliance frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, SOC 2).
- Hands-on experience with security tools and platforms such as Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, and Azure Key Vault.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
