    Description

    Job Title: Professional Services Clinical Audiologist

    Company: University of Utah Health - Academics


    Job Summary: As a Professional Services Clinical Audiologist at our health department, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive services related to disorders of auditory and balance systems, as well as delivering direct patient care.


    Responsibilities:

    • Determine appropriate audiometric tests and assess hearing status.
    • Provide counseling to patients or families regarding audiometric test results, hearing loss, intervention, and rehabilitation.
    • Recommend and coordinate referrals.
    • Document hearing assessment results.
    • Maintain and calibrate department equipment used for evaluation.
    • Evaluate patient need for a hearing device and determine the type of device.
    • Fit, program, and maintain hearing equipment.
    • Perform sound level measurements when necessary.
    • Lead in-services or instruction for medical staff.
    • Record and submit billing information for services and sales.
    • Develop reports and maintain department program information.

    Requirements:

    • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
    • Current licensure in Audiology from the State of Utah.
    • Additional experience and training may be required in specialty areas.
