    Summary: Electrical Systems Specialist in GAC St. Louis. Provides timely solutions for Avionics Systems, builds customer relationships, and troubleshoots aircraft systems.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides advice and guidance on installation, service, repair, replacement, modification, and maintenance of Gulfstream aircraft systems and support equipment.
    • Interfaces with Quoting/Sales, Tech Ops, Engineering, and Inspection/Return to Service in support of installs, configurations/modifications, certifications, troubleshooting assistance, and compliance of systems and processes.
    • Identifies problems, trends, and troubleshoots in-service aircraft, develops troubleshooting procedures, and coordinates test equipment development.
    • Configures aircraft systems, provides feedback, and offers options to planned systems that may not be compatible with existing equipment.
    • Provides customer assistance with subscription services and training on new systems installed on the aircraft.
    • Works with manufacturers and vendors to validate software or configuration changes implemented on aircraft units for testing purposes.
    • Provides training and workplace coaching to avionics technicians on implemented aircraft systems.
    • Supports customer satisfaction by resolving issues in a timely manner and devises alternative approaches to solve complex aircraft system and support equipment operational conditions.
    • Supports road trips to repair discrepancies at customer facilities and works independently to analyze, identify, and correct defects in the system with minimal downtime.

    Other Requirements:

    • Must have thorough knowledge of aircraft systems, troubleshooting, technical manuals systems, and aircraft maintenance records system.
    • Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
    • A good understanding of Windows computer applications, including the use of standard computer word and data processing programs (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite).
    • Must be proficient with DOS for troubleshooting purposes on LAN systems.
    • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
