    The Senior Director of Human Resources plays a strategic role in shaping the HR landscape for TK Elevator.

    Reporting directly to the President and CEO TK Elevator Canada, this individual will be responsible for leading and enhancing the Human Resources services, policies, and programs for TK Elevator, Canada.

    This includes talent acquisition and development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, labor relations, HR compliance, and diversity and inclusion initiatives.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership :

    Work closely with the President and CEO of Canada and CHRO, Americas to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's goals and objectives.

    Serve as a strategic partner to senior management, providing guidance on HR matters and their impact on the organization.


    Talent Management :
    Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract and retain top talent. Lead and implement TK Elevators talent management and development processes, including leadership development, succession planning, and performance management systems.


    Compensation and Benefits :
    Oversee the development and implementation of competitive compensation and benefits programs. Ensure that these programs meet employee needs, align with organizational objectives, and comply with legal requirements.


    Employee Relations :
    Create and maintain a positive work environment that promotes employee engagement and retention. Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of all employees.


    Labor Relations :

    Manage labor relations and union interactions, including negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, grievance handling, and fostering a collaborative labor environment.

    Ensure all activities are compliant with labor laws and support organizational goals.


    HR Compliance :
    Ensure compliance with all federal, provincial, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes affecting HR and advise the CHRO and senior management accordingly.


    Diversity and Inclusion :
    Champion diversity and inclusion initiatives. Develop programs that promote a diverse and inclusive workplace and align with organizational values.


    HR Operations :
    Oversee the efficient operation of the HR department. Implement HR systems and processes that improve departmental efficiency and provide excellent service to employees.


    HR Team Leadership and Development:
    Lead, mentor and develop the HR team to build high performing and highly engaged team.

    Promote continuous learning and professional development among HR staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to effectively support TK Elevators objectives.

    Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Masters degree or HR certification (e.g., CHRP, SHRM) is highly preferred.

    A minimum of 8 years progressive HR managerial experience with increasing scope and authority, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role within a large complex multi-location, multi-union organization.

    Construction/Industrial industry experience an asset.
    Strong HR generalist experience in the areas of employee engagement, recruitment, training & development, performance management and workplace investigations.
    Proven track record of developing and implementing HR strategies that have positively impacted organizational growth and performance.
    Successful track record as an partner to the business leaders providing coaching, council and insight.
    Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and regulations.
    Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate a diverse team.
    Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization. French language skills would be an asset.
    Proven ability to collaborate and build strong and effective relationships internally and externally.
    Excellent computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft, HRIS and payroll systems. Knowledge of SuccessFactors & ADP would be an asset.
    Strategic thinker and planner with excellent problem-solving, analytical and project management skills.
    Skilled decision making to proactively address complex and sensitive situations.
