    Job DescriptionSalary: DOE

    Position: Summer Intern-Geo
    Location: Austin TX or San Antonio TX

    Mission/ Position Description Summary:
    The mission of a Technician for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction following the applicable standards, specifications and company guidelines. This position will run from end of May 2024-August 2024.

    Responsibilities Include:

    • Perform testing and/or inspections as assigned.
    • Document work performed as appropriate.
    • Provide support to GEO team as needed.
    • Perform duties in a safe, cheerful, and an efficient manner.
    • Run reports for GEO as needed and provide data entry if needed
    • All other duties assigned

    Key Requirements:

    • High School Diploma

    • Ability to lift concrete, soil, or asphalt samples sometimes up to 50lbs as a routine part of the job.

    • Ability to tolerate year-round outdoor work

    • Ability to travel occasionally with overnight stay and tolerate shiftwork.

    • Valid Texas Driver's License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses.

    • 1-2 years of directly related experience

    4. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
