    The HPHC Project Coordinator engages the Anderson County community in expanding healthy lifestyle opportunities, including healthier eating and being physically active.

    The Anderson County Safety Net Council is a coalition that aligns partners toward common goals for the outcome of improved health, supporting and empowering collaborative efforts toward sustainable gains in community wellness with a focus on health equity.

    The coalition team members provide and support strategic direction; strengthen and develop partnerships; drive communications with partners, assuring the implementation of the community action plan to address obesity and the prevalence of chronic conditions in Anderson County.

    The Live Healthy Anderson Project (HPHC) Coordinator will work with and provide oversight to the coalition and a subgroup of the Safety Net Council to build relationships and create partnerships with neighborhood residents, community organizations, business partners and academic institutions with the goals of improved community health and wellness.

    This position will convene and collaborate with community partners on the development and implementation of a community action plan for healthy eating and physical activity.

    The successful performance of this position will result in strong, trusting partnerships, pooled and leveraged resources, effective communications and clear correlations between the collaborative action of the coalition and policy and environmental changes that support healthy lifestyles.

    # Required # Bachelor degree in health education, social work, community development, nonprofit management or other related field required. Master#s degree preferred. # Excellent organizational, relationship building, and communication skills.

    # Must have a valid driver#s license and reliable transportation # Preferred # Five (5) years minimum experience in health education, social work, community development, nonprofit management or other related experience.

    # Experience implementation of evidence-based initiatives required. # Familiar with process improvement tools or methods.
