    Job Summary:

    As a Production Planning and Control Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective scheduling of production activities within our organization. You will work closely with various departments including production, procurement, logistics, material flow, and manufacturing engineering to optimize resource allocation, monitor production performance and meet production/delivery targets while minimizing costs and maximizing efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, leadership abilities, attention to detail, deep understanding of manufacturing operations and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Supervises a team of master schedulers and planners.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resource utilization, including labor, equipment, and materials. Analyzes production requirements, production capacities, constraints, and lead times to develop feasible and efficient production schedules.
    • Monitor and track production progress against schedules, analyzes data to identify and address any deviations, inefficiencies, or bottlenecks. Anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and material shortages to minimize disruptions to production. Lead regular meetings with production teams to review schedules and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Coordinate with order fulfillment, operations, and procurement teams to understand demand forecasts and ensure smooth execution, availability of production capacity, inventory levels, and ultimately timely completion of orders.
    • Communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant stakeholders across the organization, including customers.
    • Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to coordinate equipment maintenance schedules and minimize downtime.
    • Assists operations and project groups in coordinating production readiness for implementation of new products. Maintains schedule for new product introductions.
    • Utilize scheduling software and tools to automate scheduling processes and improve accuracy and efficiency.
    • Performs administrative duties related to managing performance, salary pay, resource planning, budget, team training and development of direct reports to maintain core competencies and build new capabilities.
