- Safely transport patients to and from medical facilities and residences using a non-emergency stretcher vehicle.
- Assist patients with vehicle ingress and egress while following proper lifting techniques and patient handling protocols.
- Secure patients onto the stretcher and in the vehicle according to safety standards.
- Monitor patient condition and report any changes to appropriate personnel.
- Ensure cleanliness, sanitization, and stocking of the vehicle.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and comply with regulations during transport.
- Provide compassionate care, maintain patient confidentiality, and attend training sessions for continuous improvement.
- Valid Class E driver's license.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 21 and ability to pass a physical exam and drug screening.
- Capacity to lift patients up to 250 pounds.
- Prior experience in healthcare or patient transport is beneficial.
- Proficiency in navigation, driving, and vehicle maintenance.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Familiarity with patient mobility equipment and HIPAA regulations.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and maintain professionalism under pressure.
