    Job Description
    • Assists supervisor in production line with operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures
    • Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, and changeovers
    • Communicates with planning, parts and other departments via e-mail or in person to resolve issues
    • Tracks and enters data into MRP and Excel spreadsheets
    • Supports cell operations to meet shift production goals
    • Manages for Daily Improvements
    • Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and special instructions (SIs)
    • Communicates with shift Supervisors and Water-spiders
    • Communicates with other support groups when necessary
    • Ensures a clean and safe work environment (5S)
    • Completes shift paper work (SQDC)
    • Assists in production as necessary
    • Ensures material availability at the workstations (PTO, KB)
    • Fills in for line operations as needed
    • Maintains production in supervisor's absence
    • Performs ancillary duties as needed

    · High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary coursework preferred

    · Basic Computer Skills required

    · Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. This is normally acquired through two to five years of manufacturing experience.

    · Understanding of basic lean concepts, Kanban, inventory and workflow principles.

    · Understanding of basic problem solving methodologies.

    · Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.

    · Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.

    · The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time

    · Able to work in noisy environment.

    · Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision and the ability to distinguish between subsets of individual colors and quality of colors.

    · Be able to work overtime if required. (including weekends)
