We are seeking a GEOINT Analyst to lead our program's GIS efforts.

You'll bring your years of relevant experience in deriving analytical insights from structured and unstructured GIS data fused with information from a variety of sources.

Your contributions will directly inform our program's charter of developing opportunities to actualize our DoD customer's objectives; not answer RFIs.

The ideal candidate will be part of a larger multi-INT fusion team working to solve complex technical problems and will possess an intrinsic desire to support the success of the whole team.

The position requires a tenacious and disciplined analyst capable of flourishing in an environment of ambiguous datasets, mutually dependent analysts, and non-negotiable timelines.

This opportunity is limited to those that have the operational and technical experience, and skills to effectively apply geospatial practices in support of real-world operations.

This is an on-site position located in Charlottesville, Virginia with an expectation of both regional and national travel up to 10% of the time.

More About this Role:

Leads and participates in our program wide GEOINT analysis efforts to exploit and manipulate both geospatial and non-geospatial data into complex graphics, databases, and briefings, and to create geospatial products such as shape files, geodatabases, and kml/kmz files files for use with QGIS, ArcGIS, and yEd, among others.

Working closely with other members of your team and our Lead Technologist, you will identify and exploit overlooked, buried, or omitted technical information gleaned through both classified and unclassified collection disciplines.

This includes performing data mining, data structuring & processing, and occasional OSINT research.

You'll drive our collection and analysis enterprise by proposing, developing, and contributing to the creation of new GIS solutions, processes, and standards development for large and complex projects.

You will coordinate and maintain liaison with GEOINT interagency community of practice partners and operational and tactical consumers of GEOINT intelligence to solicit and incorporate relevant data from existing national-level systems, products, and databases.

You will be entrusted to serve as our organization's GEOINT subject matter expert during engagements with external customers and various stakeholders.

While this is not a management position, there are opportunities to mentor junior GEOINT analysts and non-GEOINT analysts in GEOINT datasets, tools, and analytic techniques.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance.
Must be willing to take a Counterintelligence polygraph.

Must have 5+ years of relevant GEOINT experience to qualify for a Mid-level analyst and 10+ years of relevant GEOINT experience to qualify for a Senior-level.

Intelligence experience in a fusion target environment with knowledge of other intelligence disciplines, capabilities, limitations, and platforms, including HUMINT, SIGINT, IMINT, and OSINT.

Hands-on intelligence experience must be current or very recent.
Proven successful experience working in a team environment.

Includes local teams and teams distributed geographically.
Ability to identify and foster relationships with operational partners to action developed target packets.

Demonstrable experience with GIS analytical tools (ArcGIS, QGIS) to create both finished products for presentation and working datasets to share with analytic and operational partners.

Knowledge of COCOM and military operation environments.

These Qualifications Would Be Nice to Have:
Intelligence analysis experience on a fusion team focused on national and strategic objectives.
Experience georeferencing technical datasets which require structuring and manipulation.
Experience with creating automated solutions in Python or other platforms for data extraction, data processing, and analytics.
Evaluating the veracity and reliability of OSINT-derived geodatabases.
GEOINT experience while assigned to or directly supporting Joint SOF organizations
