    Job Overview

    The primary purpose of this position will be point of contact related to the logistics of Wind Creek Hospitality's "Giving Back & Mobile Marketing" Trailer(s) pre-event, onsite and post-event including the performance of assisting in various on-site task necessary to make the event/promotion a success. The driver will also inventory, load, transport goods and material as needed for assigned events. The incumbent will be the liaison for sponsored events/festivals/music festivals and activities of the Sponsorship & Events Department. The primary purpose of this job, once events are determined, is to be the point person on all sponsored events and activities pre-event, onsite and post event. This position will ensure all activities are scheduled, logistics (setup/breakdown is complete) are carried out, and a final report is completed and distributed to appropriate WCH interests and guidelines. The Supervisor/Driver will be the point of contact for the coordinating teams. This position will be responsible for supervising staff in the Sponsorship & Events Department and will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the department. The Sponsorship & Events Supervisor and Commercial Fleet Driver reports to the Sponsorship & Events Director.

    Duties And Responsibilities

  • Visits the location prior to the event to become generally familiar with the event footprint, location and detailed vendor set up load in and out information
  • Must be fluent with the commercial truck restrictions and general information about the site to ensure safe and efficient mobilization of the mobile marketing equipment
  • Maps the route to the location to ensure it's the most cost-effective way to travel; Once route is mapped communicates details with department
  • Operates equipment and trucks in a proper and safe manner
  • Ensures the mobile marketing vehicles are properly equipped and executed by pulling, transporting, setting up and breaking down and returning to designated storage
  • Assists with various on-site tasks as determined by the Sponsorship & Events team, including but not limited to assisting with the preparation of marketing collateral and materials, interface with the public by greeting guests at the event, and answering various related questions while promoting Wind Creek properties
  • Schedules routine maintenance on the mobile marketing trucks, equipment, and generators; Reports and maintains any deficiencies in a timely manner
  • Maintains necessary logs for mobile marketing trucks and equipment (regular truck maintenance, generator maintenance, refrigerator maintenance, marketing equipment, etc.)
  • Keeps vehicles clean and in good working condition
  • Collects and provides management with all event requests and activities and any other pertinent information so an informed decision can be made on which events and activities the department will pursue
  • Collaborates with PR team on fulfillment of media inquiries and follows up with appropriate WCH interests and promotions
  • Creates and maintains a reference manual on sponsored event and activity department protocol
  • Supervises the planning and execution of all authorized events of the department
  • Delegates workload to each coordinator and provides any assistance necessary to ensure each event and activity of the department is successful
  • Responsible for ensuring all events are adequately staffed with the appropriate personnel needed
  • Supervises the coordinator's material for the scheduled community event are ordered, and their setup and accounted for well in advance of the event
  • Keeps records (DOT files/information, vendor applications, appropriate tax forms, check request and other supporting documentation) to ensure all necessary information on vendors and events are current and filed and are easily accessible to department staff and management
  • Supervises coordinators assigned and keep an adequate supply of deliverables are in stock
  • Works closely with coordinators to ensure WCH is appropriately represented at all events and promotions
  • Manages all calendars keeping them updated properly with all events and distributes to appropriate WCH interests and guidelines
  • Maintains regular communication with department director/manager to get any direction necessary and to provide updates in order to ensure the goals of the department are being met
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
    Job Requirements: (please ensure you meet the listed requirements prior to applying)
  • Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older– required

  • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
  • Associate's Degree in Related field– required
  • OR Two (2) years' Supervisory experience– required

  • OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a PCI Gaming Department– required

  • OR Two (2) years' experience in the hiring position's Department– required

  • Five (5) years of verifiable employment experience operating equipment, hauling, transporting requiring Class A commercial driver license (CDL)– Preferred

  • Must possess a valid state driver license– required

  • Good writing and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully pass a MVR (motor vehicle report) check– required

  • Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions
  • Must be able to sit/drive for long periods of time. Must be in good physical condition with the ability to sit, stand, walk, kneel, stoop, squat and twist
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
  • Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
  • Must be a team player and possess the ability to work calmly in difficult, high-pressure and high-stress situations with multiple deadlines
  • Must be self-motivated, willing to travel to events and professionally represent Wind Creek Hospitality and the Tribe
  • Must be willing to address media inquiries and professionally direct them to the appropriate source
  • Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
  • Must have a valid and current State Driver's License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
  • Must have a Tribal Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
  • Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
