Are you a Neurologist looking for an exciting opportunity in the medical field? We are seeking a qualified physician to provide tele-medicine services from the Sacramento VA Medical Center to our Stockton VA Community Based Clinic. In addition to tele-medicine, you will also be responsible for on-site care in Stockton.
As a Neurologist with us, you will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with neurological disorders suitable for a general neurology practice. Your role will also involve addressing sleep disorders such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless legs syndrome, and more. You should be experienced in prescribing and managing positive airway pressure (PAP) settings and evaluating various sleep-related ventilatory disorders.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable with telemedicine practices utilizing video and telephone formats. Occasionally, you will be required to travel to our Stockton clinic. Your responsibilities will include inpatient consultations, outpatient clinic duties, sleep study interpretation, and general neurology on-call coverage. Collaboration with a team of Neurologists, nurse practitioners, and medical technicians will be essential.
Requirements:
Preferred Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in VA systems, a strong background in general neurology and sleep medicine, and expertise in managing PAP and interpreting sleep studies. Formal training and board certification in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine are highly desirable.
Work Schedule: Full-time position with 40 hours per week. On-call coverage will be conducted via tele-health during after hours, weekends, and holidays.
