    Our Program

    Our team identifies and recruits migratory students/youth residing throughout Massachusetts and provide high quality supplemental and support services to students/youth ages 3-22. We work with parents and families to build their advocacy and leadership skills through workshops and active Parent Advisory Councils.

    We work to establish and foster relationships with schools, community agencies, organizations and businesses to coordinate services, share information, and plan for migratory students/youth, in order to ensure the most effective and efficient delivery of education and support services.

    Purpose: Assist school bus driver in maintaining discipline and safety while bus is in operation; assist student loading, unloading and seating arrangements as required; ensure student arrives home safely

    Essential Functions:

    • Assist the bus driver in maintaining discipline and safety on school bus; monitor and assist students while bus is in operation
    • Assist family and school personnel with safe loading and unloading of students
    • Coordinate seating arrangements when necessary
    • Escort students across streets if necessary
    • Assure responsible adult meets students leaving the bus
    • Ensure all students arrive home safely
    • Communicate with Site Program Coordinator when route is complete

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
    • Will pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) screening

    Physical Demands:

    • Ability to assist students on and off the bus
    • Ability to walk on moving bus, enter/exit a school bus
    • Ability to communicate effectively in Spanish with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures

    Work Conditions:

    • Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking
    • Employees expected to follow CES Workplace Safety Standards
    • Requires activities involving being around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust and fumes

    Terms of Employment:

    • Part-time; 2-3 hours a day for summer programming
    • $19/hour
