    Description

    Overview

    This position requires fluency in either Mandarin or Cantonese. The host/cashier in the Red Lantern sets the tone for the Guest's dining experience. You will be the first person the Guest speaks with as they come and the last perosn as they leave. We are looking for an upbeat applicant who an innate ability to build relationships with Guests. You will be responsible for greeting and seating guests,also ensuring that the bus persons have tables cleared and set on a timely basis, and processing Guest checks. Using our seating system technology, you will be seating guests in a timely fashion by updating table status and waitlists. This position pays $16/HR.

    Essential Functions

  • Responsible for practicing, supporting, and promoting Thunder Valley Casino's "Winning Attitude" Company-wide culture and demonstrating Thunder Valley Casino's AAA Four Diamond Service Standards at all times.
  • Be in station at assigned time to work.
  • Attend pre-shift meetings.
  • Greet guests at the entrance verbally with a warm welcome and inquiring about the number in their party.
  • Seat guest pleasantly, quickly & evenly throughout open stations or, placing parties on a waiting list using established guidelines.
  • Present menus from the left side after guest have been seated.
  • Controlling the entrance area, organizing parties waiting to be seated.
  • Updating open station status, station templates and assign servers to stations following the daily labor allocation sheet.
  • Communicating with servers, bus persons and Management on room coordination.
  • Processing guest checks following established procedures and proper tendering of transactions.
  • Taking and processing to go orders.
  • Ensures cleanliness of all menus including posted menus and signage.
  • Following established side work duties.
  • Following established internal control procedures for obtaining banks, returning banks and non-cash paperwork drop.
  • Answering telephones within 3 rings and providing information.
  • Bussing and resetting tables when needed.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
