    Summary:
    This work is in support of Headquarters Air Combat Command (ACC), Office of the Command Surgeon (ACC/SG) and is on-site at Langley AFB, VA
    Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations to attend meetings, conferences, training, and other functions in support of tasks may be required Medical CBRN Process Support USAF Job Descriptions Specific Requirements:


    • Support the identification and validation of medical Counter CBRN requirements to the ACC Combat/Capability Developer and AFMED.
    • Establish and maintain communication with all components combatant commands, Manpower and Equipment Force Packaging, Major Commands, 711th Human Performance Wing, Air Force Medical Readiness Agency subject matter experts to ensure consolidation of medical CBRN defense requirements.
    • Collect Counter CBRN Capability Based Assessments of validated gaps to inform requirements.
    • Consolidate answers from CBRN subject matter experts to the AFMS in support of initial Capabilities Documents, Capability Development Documents, Doctrine, Organization, Training Material, Leadership and Education Recommendations, Personnel, Facilities and Policy Change Recommendations and all other documents that are part of the JCIDS Process.
    • Supports the development of program objective memorandum strategy and Integrated Priority List.
    • Provide linkage with scientific testing units (i.e
    Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Army Test and Evaluation Command, et al) and the Combat Developer
    In order to maintain proper record keeping and ensuring program continuity

    General Requirements:

    • Build/develop supporting documents such as bullet background papers, and talking papers
    • Draft correspondence in compliance with AF guidance (i.e., Tongue and Quill) for dissemination
    • Make appropriate recommendations in the best interest of the directorate within situational complexity.
    • Support and attend meetings, conferences, and seminars and provide recommendations
    • Advise the client on day-to-day issues impacting SGR/medical modernization.
    • Manage and administer Task Management Tool (TMT) Suspenses/tasks and draft correspondence
    • and documents for client (including flag officer) consideration.
    • Attend periodic SG/Executive staff meetings.
    • Provide a monthly summary of all Contractor modernization related activities and spending.
    • Provide trip report summary documents working groups
    Required Experience and Education


    • Bachelor's Degree or 10 years' experience with Deployed Air Force Medical Assets to include RST, RSAT, RLT, RDT and RDAT
    • 4 years' Military medical experience as Officer in Charge or Non-commissioned officer in Charge of a Bioenvironmental Flight.
    • 4 years' experience with CBRN WRM allowance standards and Installation All Hazard Medical Response allowance standards.
    • 2 years' working knowledge conducting needs assessments to identify shortfalls to current processes and planning for future requirements.
    • 3 years' working knowledge of CBRN terminology
    • 5 years' experience in developing professional-level written materials.
    • Recent (within the last 24 months) experience with planning, preparing for and providing real-time CBRN response through intelligence, surveillance, risk assessment, decision support, protective measures, and sample preservation while operating in cold, warm, and hot zones
    • Recent (within the last 24 months) experience with planning, preparing for and providing real-time CBRN response through intelligence, surveillance, risk assessment, decision support, protective measures, and sample preservation while operating in cold, warm and hot zones
    • Recent (within the last 24 months) Hazardous Material Awareness Course and Hazardous Material Operations Course General Requirements
    • 10 years' experience working within the DoD, DHA, AF, or AFMS organizational structures
    At least one year of the 10 years will include executive level experience such as AF MAJCOM.


    • 5 years' experience in written and oral communications for/to senior leaders O-6 and above.
    • 4 years' experience in the use of Microsoft Office 365, to include Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, and Access
    • Possess completion of Defense Acquisition University (DAU)
