    Description

    Software Development Engineer

    At Green Hills Software, we rely on our talented team of Software Development Engineers to create software that makes computers safe for humanity. This critical role involves taking complete engineering responsibility for major components of a Green Hills product, developing innovative solutions to prevent failures and hacking.

    We empower our engineers to have a global impact by creating software used by millions worldwide. Our products are used in industries such as automotive (majority of cars on the road), aerospace (airplane flight systems), and space exploration (Mars landings). You will directly solve complex problems for organizations like JPL, Boeing, GM, Hewlett Packard, Intel, and Nintendo.

    Recent projects accomplished by newer developers include designing the world's first secure smartphone, a fully secure laptop for organizations like the FBI, and a formally provable programming language. As you build and deploy solutions, you will learn the Dawn Methodology, securing safety-critical systems for power plants, hospital systems, and self-driving cars.

    To succeed in this role, you must be eager to learn and take ownership of developing new products, making a significant impact on the world, and growing into the best engineer you can become.

    Requirements:

    • Strong C/C++ programming skills required
    • BS/MS (CS, ECE, Math) at time of starting employment
    • GPA of 3.25 or greater required
    • Comfortable with creating complex 25,000 line applications in about a year
    • Willingness to work independently with minimal supervision
    • Innovative and passionate about coding
    • Excited to take on new challenges

    Compensation:

    The US base salary range for this full-time position is $127,000 - $146,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. We invite applicants with industry experience to contact us for applicable job openings.
