Description
Basic Function
Oversees and ensures compliance with all applicable local, state and federal environmental and laws and regulations, practices and procedures which may include transportation.
Job Duties
Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their superior, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.
A minimum of 8 years of related experience is required.
Education Level
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field is required.
Required Skills
Leads and directs the work of others - typically individual contributors and contractors.
Proficient with spreadsheet, presentation and word processing applications; advanced knowledge of laws, pronouncements and regulations pertaining to environmental permitting and operations; excellent planning, interpersonal, organizational, leadership, public presentation, analytical, ability to effectively communicate with others, both written and verbal communication; advanced knowledge of NSPS, NESHAPs, MACT, GHG, LDAR and BWON regulations, title V and NSR permitting and compliance.
Advanced reading and writing skills, with the ability to perform complex mathematical calculations.Supervisory/Managerial Responsibility
Responsible for the supervision of approximately three to five employees.
Work Conditions
Office based with up to 20% travel by land and air required.
Petroleum refinery, warehouse/plant environment, out-of-doors environment, and driver-based environment including but not limited to chemicals, pressure vessels, tanks, and rotating equipment.
Subject to all weather varying road conditions.Physical Requirements
Job conditions require standing, walking, sitting, twisting, stooping, crouching, kneeling, talking or hearing, making visual inspections, making precise hand and finger movements, reaching or grasping, lifting and/ or carrying up 25lbs, pushing and/or pulling up to 25lbs, climbing up to 10ft, ability to operate and drive all assigned company vehicles at company standard insurance rate is essential, ability to wear personal protective equipment (beards not permitted).
