Job DescriptionEdward Segal Inc., a Thomaston, CT manufacturer of eyelet, grommet and rivet machines, is looking to hire a responsible, part-time Quality Inspector. The desired candidate will have an attention to detail, reliable in attendance and productivity, and committed to the position.

The responsibilities and expectations for the position include:
Ability to read and understand part prints and assembly drawings.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing.

Ability to use inspection equipment including, but not limited to: micrometers, calipers, indicators, fixtures, gauges, comparators and Rockwell testing.

Computer literate with Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP software.
Proper documentation of findings and exceptions.
Ability to draft heat treat requisitions based on materials and specifications.

The position will require 15 to 25 hours per week over the course of the week, generally 4 to 5 hours per day but will also consider 2-3 full eight hour days.

The schedule needs to be somewhat flexible to match the production schedule of the Company. Normal full hours for Edward Segal Inc. are from 7am until 3:30pm. The pay rate for the position is $18 to $20 per hour, based on experience.
