CNC Mill Operator

Set up and operate CNC lathe and mill machines.

CNC Mill Operator Duties:

• Power on the CNC equipment and perform the following: Zero return, Call up Programs, Write off sets, Chance inserts, Enter tool compensation values, Send and receive programs
• Familiar with Fanuc and Fadal controllers
• Setup and machine production or prototype repairs
• Maintain and sharpen all tooling as required
• Be familiar with all tools required for setup and inspection of various machinery and work in process.
• Act as in-process inspector where required
• Be able to maintain tolerances to within .001 inches
• Good working knowledge of all material types
• Cross train in all areas of the machine shop
• Train other employees as required
• Maintain scrap and rework to within acceptable minimums
• Read and interpret blue prints; Read, interpret and execute detailed work instructions
• Follow all company policies including safety instructions
• Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices 5S
• Other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
