Job summary
We are currently hiring a Material Handler/Kitter at our Southeast Houston manufacturing facility.Powell Industries manufactures switchgear and other electrical equipment.
This role involves handling, organizing and record keeping of needed materials including inventory control, maintaining accurate equipment and supply records, facilitating the stocking and restocking of material needs throughout a designated shop area.
- Understanding of 5S inclusive of general housekeeping and organizational skills
- Works well in diverse work environment, able to communicate and work with people from multiple ethnic backgrounds
- Maintaining tool calibration (i.e. crimpers) including maintaining records
