    • Tyler, TXDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARY The Project Controls Specialist will assist in analyzing the business by forecasting risk, scheduling changes, and planning resources needed to complete a project.
    The Project Controls Specialist may interact with engineering and design teams. Work is closely managed and reviewed for accuracy and adequacy. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed directions.

    Provides resolution to problems that are readily identifiable with limited scope and are resolved in accordance with standard practices, procedures, applications or routines.


    Problem/Task resolution timeframe:
    The majority of tasks typically take one to two days to resolve.
    Contacts are primarily with direct supervisors and others in group or department to give and receive information.


    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSPlease note:

    • Project Controls Specialist Intern Works closely with members of the team to enhance knowledge and skillset.
    Learns and implements the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.
    Assist on simple project controls concepts with oversight from a mentor.

    Project Controls Specialist IV Works closely with member of the team and assist to complete projects in a timely manner.

    Implements and utilizes the Company's Best Practices for projects and processes.

    Project Controls Specialist III Keep up to date trend and change logs and help ensure overall implementation of the change management procedure.

    Prepare cost reports and provide regular updates to teams on cost and schedule tracking and performance.
    Liaise with engineering personnel regarding scope, changes, trends, forecasts etc.
    Project Controls Specialist II Prepare cashflow and cost commitment forecasts.
    Identify scope changes and prepare change notices/requests.

    Collect, analyze and reduce cost data to statistics and metrics for use in benchmarking, scoping studies, execution planning and estimating.

    Project Controls Specialist I Perform cost management activities in support of in-house projects to provide proactive and accurate information to project teams.

    Develop and implement project administration and reporting systems including estimates, budgets, schedules, manhour, cost, and earned value reports. Assess project cost performance based on spent, commitments, earned value.
    QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PER JOB LEVEL Project Controls Specialist Intern
    • Junior or Senior Year in High School.
    Project Controls Specialist IV
    • High School Diploma.
    Project Controls Specialist III
    • High School Diploma; two (2) years of experience.
    Project Controls Specialist II
    • High School Diploma; four (4) years of experience.
    Project Controls Specialist I
    • High School Diploma; six (6) years of experience.
