Description:
The quality control inspector position conducts inspection of incoming parts and supplies, as well as in process inspection of machined parts and assemblies. Perform visual and dimensional examination using basic inspection equipment, under direct supervision of Quality Control Supervisor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Inspect products using gauges, scales, and vision at receiving inspection/in process inspection.
Generate first article reports per AS9102.
Review incoming documentation from suppliers to verify drawing and specification requirements.
Interact with source inspector as needed.
Verifies conformance of products to dimensional specifications.
Record inspection results accurately on inspection report and in the inspection database.
Create NCR's for non-conforming parts and sort product for conformity to specifications.
Basic Understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on established procedures.
Performs visual and dimensional measurements of purchased components using various hand tools, microscopes, micrometers, dial calipers, comparators, and other precision measurement equipment.
Establish appropriate inspection setups using the equipment available.
Follows company safety policies and procedures while ensuring quality work.
Tolerancing measurement techniques, with the ability to interpret engineering specifications.
