States, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the United Kingdom.The UHS Corporate Business Office is seeking a dynamic and talented Revenue Integrity Analyst - Chargemaster.
The Revenue Integrity Analyst - Chargemaster participates in the enhancement of charge description master (CDM) activities via the integrated revenue cycle applications.
Reviews and optimizes organizational CDM structures to ensure that CDMs accurately reflect services and supplies provided and are consistent with current industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities include:
Performs annual, quarterly, and regular CDM maintenance activities.
Performs the analysis and maintenance of changes in CPT, HCPCS, and Revenue Codes for accuracy, compliance with applicable billing guidelines, and optimization of reimbursement.
Maintains internal maintenance audit logs. Manages communications of CDM maintenance to hospital staff and others as appropriate.Keeps current with regulatory requirements related to CDM activities, i.e. reading Federal Register, CMS Transmittals, payer manuals, etc.
Incorporates requirements into the CDM.
Participates in CDM audit activities, charge capture audit activities, and EMR charge capture build audit activities.
Reviews assigned tickets and responds with audit, research, maintenance, etc. Collaborates with others within the department, external departments, and the hospitals. Keeps ticket que and resolution timelines in line with standards.
Qualifications
Experience & Knowledge:
An Associate's degree is required; however, significant (3+ relevant) years of experience will be accepted in lieu of education.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in healthcare billing and charge methodology, CPT HCPCS coding and medical terminology.
Skill set should include professional written and verbal communication skills, critical thinking, and computer literacy.
The ability to meet deadlines and multitask is necessary.
