Position Summary: One of Insight Global's major clients are seeking an Invoicing Specialist to join their team. The Invoice Specialist is an integral role on the Project Controls team in the Airport Development Division at the RDU Airport Authority. This role receives and assists in the review of all project invoices and payment applications, prepares and routes all invoices for signature and collects and enters all invoice information into the appropriate accounting software. This role also reviews and interprets financial reporting requirements, rules, and regulations and monitors and develops monthly reports of revenues and expenditures for projects. Daily responsibilities include:

• Ensuring each invoice or payment application submitted is in accordance with the Project Controls work instructions and contractual requirements
• Review invoices and payment applications to ensure compliance which can include:
  • Verify client information
  • List down the due amount
  • Itemize goods and services
  • Ensure accurate taxes were applied
  • Identify any deduct discounts
  • All supporting documentation has been provided
• Reconcile discrepancies in invoices and receipts
• Coordinating with Project Teams on all aspects of invoice management
• Ensure copies of every invoice are maintained
• Conducts periodic audits of invoices and payment applications as necessary

Required Qualifications / skills:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in invoice processing, invoice accounting or related field
• Bachelor's degree in relevant field
• MS Office (MS Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint)
• Knowledgeable of project management software such as Procore
