- Conduct assessments and devise treatment plans
- Regularly review the effectiveness of treatment plans, participate in meetings, and family discussions
- Carry out discharge assessments, offer suitable advice for home and community safety, and provide referrals and educational materials
- Communicate the needs and progress of patients to the treatment team, physician, clients, and their families
- Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure cohesive care and optimize patient outcomes
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted Occupational Therapist license in the practicing state
- Valid CPR Certification
- At least one year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Proficiency in rehabilitation techniques for complex neurological conditions preferred
- Effective and professional communication skills verbally and in writing
- Capability to lift 50 pounds
- Physically able to move, lift, or transfer patients, which may involve lifting up to 100 pounds following safety protocols
- Proficient in fine motor skills, good eyesight, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Additional physical abilities needed include pushing/pulling, bending, reaching, kneeling, and frequent changes in position
- May require a health screening or assessment to confirm physical fitness for assigned duties with or without accommodations
