Inspect vessel hulls for damage, corrosion, and structural integrity issues.
Perform repairs including welding, patching, and sealing of hull surfaces.
Apply protective coatings and paint to prevent corrosion and wear.
Operate and maintain tools and equipment used in hull maintenance and repair.
Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
Follow safety protocols and industry regulations during all repair and maintenance activities.
Document work performed and report any significant findings or concerns.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in welding, marine maintenance, or related field preferred.
Proven experience as a Hull Technician or similar role in marine vessel maintenance.
Strong knowledge of hull materials, repair techniques, and safety standards.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient in welding, grinding, sanding, and painting techniques.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights as required.
