    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Pharmacy Business Operations Specialist is responsible for maintaining a high performing, highly compliant, pharmacy technician training and operations program.

    The incumbent#s main focus will be conducting audits and assuring the ongoing success of all pharmacy technician training and operational programs.

    The incumbent may be asked to participate in the development of policies and procedures, education to internal stakeholders, program changes, program and optimization projects.

    The Pharmacy Business Operations Specialist is responsible for actively supervising the pharmacy technician personnel with the administration and oversight of pharmacy technician services at UWNI.

    The incumbent will perform personnel management activities of pharmacy technicians, coordinate department operations and services, lead customer service and performance improvement initiatives.


    EDUCATION/TRAINING:

    Minimum:
    Bachelor#s Degree in relevant field.

    Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree in addition to the experience listed below

    EXPERIENCE:

    Minimum:
    Three (3) years work experience involving drug preparation and dispensing, sterile product preparation, inventory control, quality assurance and improvement, teaching, training, and pharmacy computer systems


    Preferred:
    Two #(2) or more years of management experience and three (3) years work experience.


    REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
    Time and task management, prioritization, and organizational skill. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.

    Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to effect collaborative alliances, promote teamwork and ensure a high degree of internal and external customer satisfaction.

    Ability to work as a team player or autonomously with strong organizational skills, project management skills and attention to detail.

    Ability to work with vendors and other departments to keep multiple tasks on track and bring projects successfully to completion.

    Strong skills in standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access).

    Highly developed problem-solving skills including the ability to identify and resolve complex problems Ability to initiate and follow through on complex programs of both short- and long-term duration.

    Ability to operate pharmacy automation systems.
