Job summary
Responsible for warehouse operation and supervision of team members with emphasis on safety quality and service Accountable for achieving company objectives productivity standards and cost control goals Coordinate all activities including picking and shipping receiving and put away inventory control cycle-counting value-added services ensure customer requirements are met Train develop lead hourly employees to ensure efficient cost-effective operation Maintain strong adherence to all safety regulatory requirements Provide safe organized clean facility Ensure cross-training of all warehouse personnel Focus continuous improvement make recommendations improve operations areas such as safety process flow space utilization/layout inventory accuracy value-added services Responsible building warehouse maintenance procurement warehouse supplies Manage inventory control activities emphasis space utilization monthly cycle count expectations Responsible value-added services may include kitting assembly band saw slitting carton printing Acting warehouse coordinator responsible scheduling inbound & outbound shipments receiving shipping documents ERP system entry reporting process returns sales customer service inquiries other duties assigned Position working warehouse manager role requires 70% time floor processing transactions involves working alongside team members Deal effectively across levels organization solve problems between warehouse departments Collaborative approach shares decision making process with team Assure adequate resources available meet food safety objectives Lead supervise warehouse staff members carrying responsibilities accordance organization policies applicable laws
